I don't know about you but I am a little disappointed in Rihanna's Disturbia. When I first heard this song, the lyrics seem to dive directly into the Pop/Rock music world even more deeply than any of her other tunes. However, when I viewed the video on MTV recently, it confirmed my original opinion of Disturbia.
I know that Jay-z, the video producer, Brian Kennedy and Island Def Jam Music Group (Universal Music Division) have to concentrate on selling massive amounts of music downloads, getting fans to listen to music singles and selling ringtones but the Good Girl is Gone Bad.
This is not disappointing from the point of view of not liking Rihanna's music video. Rihanna gave a compelling performance in the video and the music video portrayed the song lyrics in a very real sense. The Disturbia music video was well produced with emphasis in the right places throughout so it was very impressive.
Also, Rihanna's outfits, makeup, props and all the essential elements of the video were superb but the song's lyrics and the whole concept is just not my cup of tea. Having said this, I still love Rihanna's music and hope that the video could win best music video performance for her acting and dancing ability.
Rihanna keep doing your thing girlfriend and I still love ya!
